Due to injuries the boys were short on numbers and couldn’t get the points. 0-3 loss.JUNIORSUnder 17Ballarat SC took on the boys from Bacchus Marsh on the Synthetic at Morshead. Our boys played a lot of really good soccer but couldn’t break down the height and speed of the Bacchus Marsh defence.. Final score a 0-0 draw.
Ballarat White, Our under 17 team made up of mainly girls took on a very large and talented Vic Park team on the front Synthetic pitch at Morsehead. The team didn’t get the points but put their heart, soles and bodies into it for the whole 80 minutes and not once dropped their heads. They hit the Vultures hard and didn’t back out from any clashes. Special mention to Elijah who did an amazing job as keeper with a niggling hamstring injury. And also the four boys from the younger age groups for making up the numbers. Henry, Cyrus, Levi and Finn. Also Cooper for playing the first half.
Under 15 Ballarat SC had the bye.
Ballarat Red played Daylesford on Pleasant Street. The visitors forwards were ruthless and finished just about every chance they got. Despite that the team still played well with the midfield trio of Lucas, Ryan and Will putting in a massive efforts, and Lachie in goals saving us time after time. 1-8 loss. Will Miller scored our goal.
Under 13 Our first game for the day on Pleasant Street saw the team take on Bacchus Marsh. We got the 3 points and despite the score, Bacchus Marsh’s keeper did an excellent job, getting peppered with multiple shots from Henry Damcevski, Mia Frary, and Jack Taylor. The accuracy in passing was off the chart, especially out of our defence, but the whole team supported each other, showing excellent spirit in an entertaining game final score 4-1 win Izak Laba Kohler scored two, Captain Ethan Mitting and Finn Hoare one each.
Under 12 These guys have come up from Under 11 to play in the competitive under 12 competition and WOW, how good? They travelled to Creswick and got the points comfortably with a 7-1 win. The whole team played really well and will have a great season. 3 own goals. Archie scored twice Luke and Raiyan one each.
