2020: Round 1

The season has begun for the juniors and the wrap is back again for 2020 and brought to you by the wonderful people at ACR Creations. www.acrcreations.com.au

We have two teams in the under 17’s this year. The Reds played BNUSC at Russell Square. Our boys couldn’t adjust to the muddy conditions and suffered a 0-7 loss. The Whites took on Vic Park on Trekardo Park. We welcome Yuri Hoashi to our club as he scored two goals. It was locked at 2-2 at half time. Unfortunately the Vultures ran away with it in the second half and the final score was 2-6.

We also have two teams in the under 16 Girls this year. The Reds had their round 1 clash against BNUSC and had a great come from behind win. The scores were 2-3 at half time but the second half our girls dominated to get a 5-4 win. Rebeka Koerner scored 2, Evie Peek-Basso, Tanessia Munday and Lucy Walters one each. The whites were scheduled to travel down the freeway to play Bacchus Marsh but the Bacchus girls forfeited the match.

The under 15’s played BNUSC as well on Russell Square. Adam Pitt found the back of the net 10 minutes in but North equaled in the 20th. 1-1 at half time. North went 1 up in the 54th, Mikyas Stevenson-Chaming levelled the scores in the 76th then Darcy Bryant sealed the deal in the 84th. 3-2 win.

Under 14’s also played BNUSC at Russell Square. Ricky McGinley put us on the board in the 17th to give us a 1-0 lead at half time. North levelled it up in the 55th but two minutes later Rex Van Berkel put one in to give us the 3 points. 2-1 to us.

Our under 13 Girls played a friendly against Daylesford. Not sure of the result.

Under 13 open were the first game at Russell Square today. Final score didn’t reflect how the team played. Majority of the squad have never played on a full pitch before. End of the match North were the better team beating us 12-3. Dominic Kucina scored 2 and Oscar Daniel scored 1.

Finally, our under 12 open had a first round bye so will be pumped for next week.
